I was fortunate to see at least a partial solar eclipse a few days ago while in the centreville of Montpellier. The Astronomy Society of Montpellier was out in full force with their high powered telescopes...it was quite cool.

The coliseum in Nimes is one of the most well preserved in Europe...although there seemed to be a lot of construction will I was there...thankfully there was metal fence, the perfect spot for the magnet.
